One inch every day!
Will eventually equal 26.2 miles.
I have been consistently working on getting my new feature film Gestures on its feet! Making a movie is a marathon, and I try to chip away at it a little bit everyday.
Here’s what’s going on with Gestures:
The script is written and ready to rock! (There are many rocks in the film, so that’s actually a pun.)
The pitch decks have been created.
Two producers have joined the Gestures team, one from New Mexico where I want to shoot the film. Very grateful for them!!
We created our budget estimate for the film, which will make use of the New Mexico tax rebate.
A fabulous actress is interested in the lead role of Liza at the moment. She’s read the script and loved it. Great news!
We are raising “first-in” seed money to get us started — to hire a casting director and lock in the lead role. Looking for our angel investor! 😇
Audience building: we’re researching organizations and folks who would be interested in the film (& its Private Equity themes) now and down the road, and starting conversations with them.
I am sharing the Gestures filmmaking journey here and on TikTok (lord help me).

A professional writer friend is reading the script — even though it’s ready-to-go I want to keep tightening it.
Always reading and learning about updates in Private Equity via Private Equity Stakeholders Project, articles, podcasts, and new books.
Reach out if you’re interested in learning more about Gestures, always excited to speak with people about the project (or how Private Equity is taking over the economy and destroying communities) and build the team!!
See ya next week!
